Ingredients

 
1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
 
1/4 cup fresh or frozen finely chopped onion
 
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
1 13 3/4 ounce can chicken broth
 
1 cup water
 
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

In a 10 inch skillet cook rice and chopped onion in butter or margarine until rice is golden, stirring often.
Add chicken broth, water, and salt.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer till rice is tender, about 15 minutes.
Fluff up with a fork.
Makes 8 servings.
