Rice Banana Savory Recipe

1/2 lb. rice
 
2 oz. butter
 
1 pint water
 
1 oz. butter
 
1 small tin tomatoes
 
1 tspn, dried herbs
 
4 bananas
 
salt and pepper

Directions

Peel and chop onion finely, then fry gently in butter until soft.
Add washed rice, tinned tomatoes, herbs, seasoning and water.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 25 minutes, or until rice is soft and mixture creamy.
Peel, halve and fry the bananas in butter.
Pile the hot rice on a serving dish and top with fried bananas.
