Rice With Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 medium-sized onion, chopped
1/4 pound mushrooms, sliced
3 cups water
1 1/2 cups regular long-grain rice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup frozen peas
Directions
1. In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion and mushrooms until tender, stirring occasionally.
2. To mixture, add water, rice, soy sauce, and pepper; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; stir ingredients to mix well. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and all liquid is absorbed. Add frozen peas; heat through.
