Easy To Make Rice Pudding with Sundried Cherries Recipe Video
Chef Keith Snow is going to show us a really great rice pudding, an old fashioned dessert which we don’t see very often.
Ingredients
Carolina gold plantation rice
Sundried cherries
3 cups whole milk
Maple syrup
Vanilla beans
Directions
Cook 2 cups of rice as per instructions.
Take sun dried cherries and put some boiling water and wrap the bowl with a little plastic.
Take 3 cups of whole milk and add to the cooked rice. Stir the rice.
Take a vanilla bean and pierce it with a piercing knife, open the beans and push the knife through the bean to take out the vanilla beans that will add flavor to the pudding.
Wipe the seeds on the wooden spatula. Do the same with the other half of the bean. Stir the whole mixture.
Next ingredient is maple syrup; add it to the rice mixture. Stir this through.
So now we take the lid and put it on and cook for 20 minutes.
Okay, now the rice is done and add the sun dried cherries and distribute it on the rice. Give it a stir and the rice pudding is ready to serve.
Serve the pudding in a bowl and drizzle some maple syrup over it and we are ready to eat.
