Raisin Rice Pudding Recipe
Rice Pudding is my hot favourite. The Milk and golden raisins gives the Rice Pudding a prefect taste.
Ingredients
| Rice | 3 Ounce | |
| Superfine sugar | 1 1/2 Ounce | |
| Vanilla essence | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 3 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Golden Raisins | 3 Ounce |
Directions
Put the rice in a large casserole.
Add the sugar, vanilla and milk.
Stir well.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes.
Rinse the raisins (sultanas) under plenty of cold running water.
Pat dry on kitchen paper.
When the milk comes to the boil, add the raisins (sultanas) and stir well.
Cover and microwave on MEDIUM for 30 minutes.
Mix the rice and leave to stand for at least 10 minutes.
It is very important to use a large casserole to avoid the danger of the pudding boiling over in the oven.
Not much time is gained by cooking rice in this way, but it has the advantages of the rice pudding turning out very creamy and the cooking receptacle being easy to clean.
