Ingredients

 Long grain white rice1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked
 Onion1/3 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped
 Butter/Margarine1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Chicken broth3 Cup (16 tbs), canned
 Golden Raisins1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Pecans1/2 Cup (16 tbs), coarsely chopped
 Butter/Margarine1 Teaspoon

Directions

1. Put rice, onion and 1/4 cup butter into a 2-quart glass casserole. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 5 minutes at High, or until rice is lightly browned; stir once.
2. Add salt, broth and raisins to rice mixture; stir. Cover with an all-glass lid or plastic wrap. Cook in microwave oven 10 to 12 minutes at Medium, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from oven.
3. Put pecans and 1 teaspoon butter into a 1-cup glass measuring cup. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 2 to 3 minutes at High; stir twice. Sprinkle pecans over rice.
