Directions

1. Combine rice and butter in a 2-quart glass casserole. Microwave uncovered, at Power Level 10 for 3 to 4 minutes, or until rice has begun to brown, stirring, every minute. Add onion and celery. Microwave, uncovered, at Power Level 10 for 2 to 3 minutes longer, or until vegetables are softened.
2. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cover. Set microwave oven at Power Level 10 for 6 minutes, and then Power Level 4 for 12 minutes. Stir twice during cooking. Let rice stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
