Rice Orzo Pilaf Recipe
Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup orzo (rice-shaped pasta)
4 cups water
1 cup regular long-grain rice
2 chicken-flavor bouillon cubes or envelopes
Directions
1. In 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter or margarine. Add orzo; cook, stirring often, until golden, about 10 minutes.
2. Stir in water, rice, and bouillon; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and orzo and rice are tender.
