Crispy Ghostly Chocolate Treats Recipe Video
To kick off the holiday season, Kat shows you how to make a simple Halloween treat that the kids (and you) will love. These ghastly ghoulish Rice Krispie Ghost Treats are a wonderful spin on an old favorite for young and old alike.
Ingredients
1 10-ounce bag of marshmallows
1/4 Cup margarine or butter
6 Cups of Rice Crispie cereal
1 12-ounce bag of White Chocolate
Toppings of your choice: Black licorice candy, chocolate sprinkles, black gel (used for cakes/cookies), miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
1.
In a large saucepan, melt butter and marshmallows over medium-low heat until the mixture is completely melted. Gradually stir in the cereal and stir until completely covered with marshmallows.
2.
Spray your hand with a non-stick cooking spray to keep the marshmallows from sticking to your hands as you mold the treats.
3.
You€™ll use a handful of the cereal mixture (about a 1/2 cup to 1 cup) and mold into a ghostly figure. Place on a wax paper covered cookie sheet to allow to cool.
4.
Dip each ghost into the melted white chocolate. Allow to cool. You can put the tray of ghosts into the refrigerator to cool quicker.
5.
Use toppings to make your ghosts€™ faces and BE CREATIVE!!
