Rice Custard Recipe

I found out a great way to use rice by making some delicious rice custard. An incredible rice custard gets its taste from rice. This rice custard as a dessert is a winner! Trust me, you must try this rice custard recipe.

Ingredients

 
3 eggs, lightly beaten
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1/3 cup honey
 
3 cups scalded milk
 
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
 
1 cup cooked brown rice
 
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
 
1/2 cup raisins
 
Dash of nutmeg for decoration

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.and oil 6 individual custard cups.
Combine eggs, salt, and honey.
Add milk slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth.
Add vanilla, rice, lemon peel, and raisins.
Pour into custard cups and sprinkle nutmeg on top of each.
Place in pan of hot water and bake in preheated oven 30 to 40 minutes, or until knife inserted in center of custards comes out clean.
