Ingredients

 
1 beaten egg
 
2 cups cooked rice
 
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
 
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
 
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram, crushed
 
1 9 1/4-ounce can tuna, drained and flaked
 
3 beaten eggs
 
1 cup milk
 
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
Dash pepper

Directions

Combine the 1 egg, cooked rice, melted butter, 1 tablespoon of the chopped onion, and 1/4 teaspoon of the marjoram.
Press onto bottom and sides of a lightly buttered 10-inch pie plate or 10x6x2-inch baking dish.
Place tuna atop.
Combine the 3 beaten eggs, milk, Swiss cheese, salt, pepper, remaining 1 tablespoon onion, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon marjoram.
Pour over tuna.
Bake, uncovered, at 350° till a knife inserted just off-center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
Garnish with chopped pimiento or snipped pars ley, if desired.
