Rice And Ham Salad Recipe
Rice and ham salad is a cooked meat and rice salad made with added vegetables and cheese. Flavored with garlic and soy sauce, the rice and ham salad is great as a side with almost any meal and really delicious.
Ingredients
| Rice | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked | |
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Cooked ham | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing | ||
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cayenne | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 4 ounces process Swiss cheese, shredded | ||
Directions
In skillet, cook rice over low heat till lightly browned.
Add water, onion, soy sauce, and garlic; mix well.
Cover; cook 20 minutes or till rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Add ham and celery; heat through.
Stir in mayonnaise, vinegar, cayenne, and cheese.
To serve, top with additional Swiss cheese, if desired
