Microwave Rice Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups water
1 cup long grain rice
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in a deep 3-quart non-metallic casserole.
2. Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 12 to 13 (15 1/2 to 17) minutes.
3. Allow rice to stand at room temperature 4 to 5 minutes, covered.
4. Fluff with a fork before serving.
5. If necessary rice may be returned to Microwave Oven for a few minutes additional cooking.
