1 cup long grain rice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a deep, 3-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.
Heat, covered, on simmer for 20 minutes.
Allow rice to stand at room temperature, covered, 5 to 6 minutes.
Fluff with a fork before serving.
If necessary, rice may be returned to microwave oven for a few minutes additional cooking on simmer.
