Rhubarb-Pineapple Compote Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 lb. fresh rhubarb
 
2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
 
1/2 cup orange soda
 
1 tablespoon sugar
 
Nutmeg (optional)

Directions

Wash and peel fresh rhubarb; cut into 1 inch pieces.
Place fruit in crock pot.
Add orange soda, then sprinkle with sugar.
Stir lightly.
Cover and bake on high setting for about 2 hours (on low setting for 6 to 8 hours) or until rhubarb is tender.
