1 egg, well beaten
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped quahogs
Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
Combine clam liquid, beaten egg, flour, baking powder and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
Mix well, then stir in chopped clams and mix well again.
Heat 3 or 4 inches of oil in heavy pan.
Drop batter by teaspoonful into oil.
Fry until golden brown, 4 to 6 minutes.
