2 or 3 chopped shallots or green onions
 
2 minced anchovy fillets
 
1 teaspoon chopped capers
 
1 chopped gherkin (not a sweet one)
 
1 tablespoon minced parsley

Directions

Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
A little chervil or tarragon can be added if desired.
