Refrigerator Buttermilk Rolls Recipe
The flavor of this Refrigerator Buttermilk Rolls recipe has played on my senses so much that I hardly ever go for any other Refrigerator Buttermilk Rolls recipe. You do not need to be a gourmet to make out how appetizing and tasty this dish really is.
Ingredients
4 to 5 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon soda
3 heaping tablespoons crisco
2 cups buttermilk
1 cake yeast
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
Sift all dry ingredients.
Add crisco (same as in biscuit dough).
Dissolve yeast cake in 2 tablespoons warm water.
Add this to beaten egg and buttermilk.
Mix all together€”put in refrigerator overnight.
In morning add a little flour if needed€”roll into 3 small balls.
Dip in melted butter.
Let rise 1 1/2 hours.
Bake at 425° F. for 15 minutes.
Dough will keep for a long time in refrigerator.
