Red Wine Beef With Macaroni Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 pounds lean boneless beef chuck | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 1 pound, cut in to chunks | |
| Paprika | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Bay leaf | 1 , crumbled | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dry red wine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 4 ounces shell or ribbon macaroni | ||
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chopped parsley | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) With a knife, cut beef into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
MAKING
2) In a large heavy skillet or Dutch oven heat butter.
3) Add meat and fry lightly.
4) Add onion till liquid evaporates.
5) Season with paprika, other seasonings and wine.
6) Simmer and boil covered for 21/2hours.
7) Mix macaroni and water. Simmer and boil for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
SERVING
8) Sprinkle parsley on top and serve with sour cream.
