Red Wine Beef Loaf Recipe

Ingredients
1kg lean minced beef
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup milk
2 cups fresh wholemeal
breadcrumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 large onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoons salt
Freshly ground pepper
GLAZE
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup tomato sauce or 1/4 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon wine vinegar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Combine ingredients for meat loaf, and pack into a greased loaf tin. Bake in a preheated moderate oven, 180C (350F), for 1 hour. Drain any liquid from loaf tin, and turn loaf out on to a greased shallow baking dish. Combine ingredients for glaze, and brush over loaf. Return loaf to the oven for a further 15 minutes, brushing frequently with glaze until all is used. Serves 6-8.
