Consireded very nutritious, the hummus is a maediterranean dip that has been americanised to taste. the red pepper, feta cheese and garlic along with hotpepper sauce, really give it a kick. the hummus can be served with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

 
1 19 oz/540 tnL tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1
 
2 sweet red peppers, roasted , peeled, seeded and diced 2
 
2 cloves garlic, minced, or 1 head roasted garlic 2
 
2 oz feta cheese, crumbled 60 g
 
1/4 tsp hot red pepper sauce 1 mL
 
1/2 tsp pepper 2 mL
 
Salt to taste

Directions

Place chickpeas in food processor and chop finely (until almost mashed).
Add red peppers and garlic.
Process on/off until combined but not completely pureed.
Add feta cheese, hot pepper sauce and pepper and process on/off until evenly distributed.
Taste and season with salt.
