Red Wine And Beef Hash Recipe
Ingredients
| Oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ground beef | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Onions | 2 , diced | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Sweet red pepper | 1 To taste, diced | |
| Carrot | 1 , diced | |
| Celery stalks | 2 , diced | |
| Tomatoes | 3 , cut into wedges | |
| Dry red wine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Beef broth | 10 Ounce, canned | |
| 1 tbsp beef broth concentrate | ||
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cold water | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
In a casserole dish, heat oil.
Lightly brown ground beef.
Remove from dish.
Set aside.
In beef cooking fat, saute onions, garlic, pepper, carrot and celery 3-4 minutes.
Fold in meat, tomatoes, red wine, beef broth and concentrate.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Simmer 30 minutes.
In a small bowl, dilute corn starch in cold water.
Pour over beef hash, mixing well.
Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
