Red Chile Sauce With Tomato Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 tomatoes, peeled and seeded | ||
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Red chile | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Beef broth | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cumin | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In a blender puree the tomatoes and set aside.
Heat oil in a saucepan and whisk in flour.
Stir until slightly browned.
Add the ground chile into the broth (start with smaller amount and add more to taste).
Gradually stir into flour and continue to stir until smooth.
Add tomato puree, salt, garlic, oregano and cumin.
Simmer for at least 10 minutes.
