Red Cabbage Deluxe Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 small head red cabbage | ||
| Apple | 1 Medium, unpeeled | |
| Onion | 1 Small | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Caraway seed | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
Directions
Cut cabbage into small wedges; remove core.
Cut apple and onion in quarters.
Fill blender container with half the vegetables; cover with cold water.
Blend till vegetables are coarsely chopped; drain.
Repeat.
Melt butter or margarine in heavy skillet.
Add chopped vegetables and the remaining ingredients to melted butter in skillet.
Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, till vegetables are almost tender, about 10 minutes.
Uncover; cook and stir till cabbage is tender, about 1 to 2 minutes.
