Red Cabbage Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| White vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cherry Flavoured Low-Calorie Carbonated Beverage- 1/4 cup | ||
| Artificial Sweetener- to taste | ||
| Red Cabbage- 1 medium-sized, finely shredded | ||
| Apple- 1 medium-sized, peeled and sliced | ||
| Nutmeg- a dash | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) In a saucepan, mix together water, vinegar, beverage, sweetener, cabbage and apples.
2) Cover and simmer the vinegar mixture, stirring occasionally for 20 to 30 minutes until cabbage is soft.
3) If the mixture is dry add more water if needed.
4) Remove from heat and allow it of cook.
5) Dredge the nutmeg over vinegar mixture.
SERVING
6) Serve as desired.
