Red Cabbage and Red Onions Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 head red cabbage (1 1/2 lb/750 g), finely shredded | ||
| Red wine vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Red onions | 2 , thinly sliced | |
| Apples | 2 , thinly sliced | |
| Chicken stock | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Caraway seed | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. In a large bowl, combine cabbage, vinegar and salt. Let stand 5 minutes.
2. Heat butter in a large skillet. Add cabbage, turning 2 to 3 times. Stir in onions, apples, stock, sugar, caraway and pepper.
3. Cook, covered, over low heat for 1 hour, until cabbage is tender. Serve warm.
