Ingredients

 4 cups shredded raw red cabbage
 Boiling water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vinegar1 Tablespoon
 1 pound chestnuts, boiled, peeled, skinned and chopped
 1/2 cup seedless golden raisins
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 1 cup Chicken Bouillon or use cube or canned bouillon
 Butter/Margarine3 Tablespoon

Directions

1. Cook the cabbage 3 minutes in boiling water. Drain. Sprinkle with vinegar.
2. Mix cabbage, cooked chopped chestnuts, raisins and salt.
3. Heat the bouillon, melt the butter or margarine in it and pour over the cabbage mixture. Cover and simmer 15 minutes, remove the lid and simmer 5 minutes longer.
