Red Cabbage And Apple Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 cups / 450 g / 1 lb red cabbage, finely shredded | ||
| 1 1/3 cups / 225 g / 8 oz cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced | ||
| 60 ml / 4 tbsp red wine vinegar | ||
| 30 ml / 2 tbsp brown sugar | ||
| A pinch of mixed spice (sweet baking spice) | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Mix all the ingredients together in a large dish.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes, stirring twice, until tender but still crunchy.
