 Red cabbage1 1/4 Pound, sliced
 Shallots6 Ounce, cut in half
 1 large clove garlic, chopped
 Eating apples12 Ounce, sliced
 Seeds1 Teaspoon
 Cloves2
 Sultanas1 Ounce
 Cider vinegar3 Fluid Ounce
 3 floz (75ml) water
 Apple Juice1 Tablespoon

Directions

1. Layer the cabbage, onion, garlic, apple, dill seeds, cloves and sultanas in a large casserole.
2. Mix together the cider vinegar, water and concentrated apple juice. Pour over the vegetables. Cover the casserole.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at Gas Mark 4,350°F, 180°C for 1 1/4 hours. Serve hot or cold.
