| 1 oz dripping or butter | ||
| 1/8 pt stock or water | ||
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| White vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pinch of powdered mace | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a saucepan melt dripping.
2. Stir in all the other ingredients.
3. Cover with a lid and cook.
4. Shake frequently until cabbage is tender but still crisp and the pan is dry.
SERVING
5. Serve hot.
