 Rred cabbage - 1 1/2 lb.
 Sugar1 Tablespoon
 Red-currant jelly - 2 tbs.
 Onion1/2
 Bay leaf1/2
 Butter2 Tablespoon
 Vinegar2 Tablespoon
 Bacon2 Ounce, smoked
 Stock2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1 To taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 400F to gas mark 6.
2.Rinse cabbage and slice finely.

MAKING
3.Cook chopped bacon and onion in drippings.
4.Take a Romertopf and Add a layer of cabbage in it topped with bacon and onion.
5.Add vinegar, red currant jelly, salt, pepper, and bay leaf to the stock and add it in the Romertopf.
6.Add the lid on and cook for 1 1/4 hours.

SERVING
7.Serve topped with a dash of butter.
