Red Beans & Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Red kidney beans | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Water | ||
| 1 cup Brand Rice | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Garlic salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Drain kidney beans; reserve juice.
Add water as needed to make 2-1/2 cups liquid.
In a large skillet, combine kidney beans, liquid, rice, onion, garlic salt, salt and chili powder.
Stir.
Bring to a boil and cover.
Simmer 20 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Let stand, covered, until all liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
Add water as needed to make 2-1/2 cups liquid.
