Ingredients
| 1 cup Bardolino or Zinfandel wine | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Peppercorns | 6 | |
| 6 whole aniseed | ||
| 3 whole bay leaves | ||

| Cinnamon stick | 1 3 Inch, halved | |
| 3 firm ripe red plums, unpeeled, pitted and quartered | ||
| 3 firm ripe purple plums, unpeeled, pitted and quartered | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Fresh grape leaves or citrus leaves (garnish) | ||
Directions
Combine wine, sugar, peppercorns, aniseed, bay leaves, clove and cinnamon stick in nonaluminum 8-inch skillet.
