For Suet Pastry Recipe
Ingredients
| Plain flour | 1 Pound | |
| Baking powder | 1/2 Ounce | |
| Salt | 1/4 Ounce | |
| Suet - 4-8 ozs | ||
| Water - 1/4-1/3 pint | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Sieve the flour, salt, baking powder together
MAKING
2. Shred the suet finely by removing all of the external skin and the connective tissue on the suet
3. Add the suet to the flour
4. Add the water all at once to the flour and use a round-bladed knife to bring the mixture together. Use your fingertips to draw the mixture together
5. Knead lightly with your fingertips on slightly floured board to make a dough that is soft and pliable.
6. Turn the smooth side of the ball uppermost
7. Roll out the shape you require till it is 1/4th in thickness
