Ingredients

 
Tomato juice-2 gallon
 
Salt-1/2 cup
 
Onions-2, chopped
 
Vinegar-3 cups
 
Cloves oil-1/4 teaspoon
 
Cinnamon oil-1/4 teaspoon (scant)
 
Sugar-8 cups
 
Cornstarch-6 tablespoons

Directions

MAKING
1)In a large kettle, add tomato juice, salt, onions, vinegar, oil of cloves and oil of cinnamon.
2)Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and let it simmer until reduced by 1/3.
3)In a bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch and add into catsup.
4)Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
5)Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.

SERVING
6)Use the tomato catsup and when needed.
