Rava Burfi Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup rava or semolina | ||
| Ghee | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Coconut | 1 Cup (16 tbs), finley grated | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| A few drops essence of saffron | ||
| Cardamoms | 1 Tablespoon, powdered | |
| 10 each of almonds, pistachios and cashewnuts | ||
Directions
Pound together all the nuts coarsely.
Put the rest of the ingredients together in a pan and cook stirring all the time till the mixture turns thick and leaves the sides of the vessel.
Mix in the essence and remove from fire, put in a greased thali, level the surface and sprinkle nuts on the top.
Cool thoroughly, cut into small squares and store in airtight container.
