Wash 1 qt. of either red or black raspberries.
Mash and put through a coarse sieve.
Add 1 cup sugar and let stand for 1 hr.
Add to either American or Philadelphia Ice Cream just before freezing.
The amount of additional sugar needed depends on the sweetness of the fruit.
