Raspberry Bars Recipe
Even a bar of chocolate cannot lift my spirits as well as this raspberry bars. Don't think much before including raspberry bars in your diet if you are following a diabetic diet. Ingredients
Base
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup margarine
Filling
10 oz. all-fruit spreadable raspberry jam
Directions
Base: Cut margarine into flour in a bowl until mixture crumbles.
Press crumb mixture into anungreased 7x11 in. (17x27cm)baking pan.
Filling: Spoon jam into a microwavable mixing bowl.
Either heat the jam to a liquid or stir until jam is very soft.
Lightly spread jam over surface of base.
You won't have to cover the full base.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
After 15 to 20 minutes, turn and twist pan to allow the hot jam to cover the full surface of the base.
Cool on rack.
Cut into 40 bars.
