Ingredients

 
1/2 tsp chilli pdr
 
5 grams coriander pdr
 
5 grams cumin pdr
 
1 piece garlic
 
2 pint green chillies
 
1 pinch hing
 
1 tsp jeera
 
1 to taste little fenugreek (methi) seeds
 
1 pinch medium sized tomato
 
2 grams Mustard
 
1 small onion optional
 
3/4 tsp peppers
 
2 number red chillis
 
1 to taste salt
 
1/4 tsp tamarind paste
 
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
 
1 tsp urad dal

Directions

1. Put water on stove

2. Add all ingredients and bring it to boil (except tadka items

3. Make a good tadka with groung masala and top it on rasam and simmer

4. Your rasam is ready.

Phew ...just the big list of hot spices in the ingredients is making me sweat .. I do love rasam though...i never can make it like we get it in the restaurants though :(
