Ingredients

 
1/2 tsp chilli pdr
 
5 grams coriander pdr
 
5 grams cumin pdr
 
1 piece garlic
 
2 pint green chillies
 
1 pinch hing
 
1 tsp jeera
 
1 to taste little fenugreek (methi) seeds
 
1 pinch medium sized tomato
 
2 grams Mustard
 
1 small onion optional
 
3/4 tsp peppers
 
2 number red chillis
 
1 to taste salt
 
1/4 tsp tamarind paste
 
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
 
1 tsp urad dal

Directions

MAKING
1. To prepare the rasam, firstly pour water in a vessel and put it on the stove.
2. Add all the spices, salt, vegetables and bring to boil.
3. Make a good tadka with the right ingredients and add it to the rasam and simmer for few minutes. The rasam is ready.

Phew ...just the big list of hot spices in the ingredients is making me sweat .. I do love rasam though...i never can make it like we get it in the restaurants though :(
