Rarebit Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 pound process cheese, diced, or 1 /2 cup grated cheese | ||
| 2-3 tablespoons beer or ale, Salt and pepper to taste | ||
Directions
Melt butter or margarine in small saucepan, and add flour and milk.
Cook until smoothly thickened; then stir in cheese.
Heat until cheese melts, and stir in beer.
Season to taste.
Makes approximately 1 cup sauce.
