Ranch Hand Chili Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 3 Pound | |
| Onion | 1 Large, chopped | |
| 1 tablespoon comino seeds | ||
| Garlic powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 4 tablespoons Gebhardt's chili powder | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 1 large red pepper pod, seeded and cut into small strips | ||
| Tomato sauce | 2 Can (10oz) | |
| Hot water | 1 Quart | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Cook meat, stirring until brown, in a large, heavy Dutch oven or iron skillet with a lid.
Add onion.
Keeping heat as low as possible, add comino seeds, garlic salt, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, pepper pod, tomato sauce, hot water and salt.
Simmer, covered, over very low heat for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
This is a mild and flavorful chili, recommended for the faint-hearted.
