Rajma Masala Recipe
Usually this curry is served with rice and its called as Rajma chawal. You can also serve this curry with any Indian Bread.

Ingredients
| Rajma | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Green chillies | 2 , slit | |

| Onions | 2 , finely chopped | |
| Red chili powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Red chilli powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Coriander powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Ginger | 1 Inch, finely chopped | |
| Tomatoes | 2 | |
| Chopped cilantro | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cumin seeds | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Turmeric powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Garam masala powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon |
Directions
1. Soak rajma overnight and pressure cook for upto 2 whistles.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they splutter add onions and fry till golden brown.
3. Now add ginger and green chillies and saute for few seconds.
4. Now add the tomatoes and cook till mushy.
5. Add coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder. Saute for few more seconds.
6. Add boiled rajma along with the boiled water and bring it to a boil.
7. Add salt and garam masala powder, cover and cook on a medium flame till everything blends together. (Approximately 15 minutes).
8. Serve hot garnished with cilantro.

The presentation levels are very good and i prefer mostly north Indian dishes with chapatis and puri. sure i am going to prepare it this week end

even we can eat it up with n bread toast apply butter on it n then rajma on it .. ....but yes the main it taste with chapatis only

Thanks for this post. Rajma Chawal is my favourite vegetarian dish. When I was at boarding school, we were served rajma for lunch on alternate Tuesdays...I still remember this...Goes to show how eagerly I waited for those 2 days every month.
