Raita Recipe

Raita (veggies in thick yogurt) is great accompaniment with Biryanis (exotic rice dishes). There are different kinds of Raita such as the Mixed Vegetable Raita, Cucumber Raita, Potato Raita and so on. Here is a very simple and easy to make Raita that can be made in just a couple of minutes.

Ingredients

 
Yogurt - 2 cups
 
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
 
Onions - 1/4rth cup finely chopped
 
Mint (Pudina) and Cilantro (Coriander/Dhaniya) - 1/2 cup finely chopped
 
Green chilly - 1 finely chopped
 
Salt - to taste

Directions

Mix all ingredients (tomatoes, onions, green chilly, mint, cilantro and salt) in thick yogurt. Mix well and serve as an accompaniment with Biryani/Pulao.
