Raisin Rum Sauce Recipe
Raisin rum sauce or the rum raisin sauce is a flavorful and gourmet sauce made with golden raisins coarsley processed with rum, light cream, sugar and butter. The rum raisin sauce may be served over bread loaves and rum cakes or even over cooked meals like poultry.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 cup golden raisins
3 tablespoons light cream
3 tablespoons light rum
1/2 cup soft butter
Directions
Put cream, rum and butter into Osterizer container, cover and process at BLEND until smooth.
Stop and add 1/2 cup of sugar, cover and process until sugar is liquefied.
Add remaining sugar, 1/2 cup at a time.
When all sugar is added, stop and add raisins, cover and process at LIQUEFY a few seconds to chop raisins coarsely.
Use rubber spatula to help in processing.
