Raisin Bread And Butter Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
4 slices bread, cubed
1/3 cup raisins
2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
2 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
Ground nutmeg or cinnamon
Directions
Mix bread cubes and raisins in ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Beat sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt.
Microwave milk and margarine in 4 cup glass measure until steaming hot, 4 1/2 to 5 minutes.
Gradually stir into egg mixture.
Pour over bread mixture.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Pour 1 cup warm water into square baking dish, 8x8x2 inches; place casserole in baking dish.
Microwave uncovered 6 minutes; turn dish onequarter turn.
Microwave until knife inserted near center comes out clean, 8 to 10 minutes.
