Raisin Nut Honey Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup each butter or margarine, at room temperature, and firmly packed brown | ||

| Eggs | 2 | |
| 1/2 cup each honey and buttermilk | ||
| 2 cups all-purpose flour, unsifted | ||
| Soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon each ground ginger and ground cloves | ||
| Ground cinnamon | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup each raisins and chopped walnuts | ||
Directions
In a large bowl beat together butter and sugar until smoothly blended.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until fluffy.
Blend in honey and buttermilk.
In a separate bowl, stir together flour, soda, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and salt until thoroughly blended; mix into creamed mixture.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Spoon batter into a greased 9 by 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake in a 325° oven for 1 hour or until bread begins to pull away from sides of pan and a wooden skewer inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes; then turn out onto a rack to cool completely.
