Directions

Preheat oven to 275°.
Trim meat and cut into bite size pieces.
Heat Planters Peanut Oil in deep casserole and add the bay leaves, which will crackle and jump at you to put the lid on.
Turn down heat.
Remove lid and add the beef.
Brown meat lightly on both sides and add onions until slightly colored.
Sprinkle with flour and let it brown.
Then add enough Guinness and water to cover meat completely.
Season to taste, and add parsley and chopped carrots.
Cover and braise in a slow oven for 2 hours at 275° or 300°.
Stir at least once and add more liquid if necessary.
