Directions

GETTING READY:
1) Clean the ceramic flower pot.
2) Slice the pound cake.

MAKING:
3) Place the pound cake slices in the bottom of the ceramic pot. Press down with your fingertips.
4) Place the straw in the center. Ensure that it is properly fixed.
5) Add the ice cream around the straw and press down to smoothen the top.
6) Place the prepared pot in the freezer till it is time to serve.
7) To make the soil, put the cookies in a plastic bag and crush them with the help of a rolling pin.

FINALIZING:
8) Take the pot out of the freezer, snip off the straw to the ice cream level and put the flowers in the straw opening.
9) Add the crushed oreo cookies. Spread the 'soil' well.

SERVING:
10) Serve the potted plant ice cream frozen, as a dessert.

This is such a wonderful cake idea for Mother's Day. I would love to get an edible Flower Pot which I can eat and enjoy rather than a flower pot I have to water and keep alive. If you forget to buy your mother a token of your affection on Mother's Day, just buy some pretty flowers and make her this incredibly simple edible flower pot cake.
