Quickie Stew Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 tablespoons butter, margarine, or bacon fat | ||
| Onions | 2 Large, sliced | |
| Stewed tomatoes | 1 16 Ounce, undrained | |
| Red kidney beans | 1 17 Ounce, undrained | |
| Cubed cooked leftover meat, sliced frankfurters, or canned corned beef, cut up | ||
| Caraway seeds | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. In butter, in Dutch oven, saute onions until golden. Add stewed tomatoes and kidney beans.
2. Then, using one of empty cans as a measure, fill it with meat. Add to bean mixture with caraway seeds. Simmer, covered, 15 minutes.
3. Serve with slices of French bread.
