Quick 'N Easy Tuna Chow Mein Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
 
1 cup cut-up celery
 
1/4 cup chopped onion
 
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
 
1/2 can (5 1/2-ounce size) chow mein noodles
 
1 can (6 1/2 ounces) tuna (with liquid)
 
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
 
1/4 cup milk
 
1/4 cup water
 
1/8 teaspoon pepper
 
3/4 cup salted cashew nuts

Directions

Heat oven to 350°.
Melt butter in large skillet.
Add celery, onion and green pepper; cook and stir until onion is tender.
Reserving 1/4 cup chow mein noodles, stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour mixture into ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole; sprinkle reserved chow mein noodles over top.
Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
